Runscope Offers New Service To Test Live API Calls For Improving The Quality Of Mobile Apps

Runscope, which develops tools that monitor API traffic, has launched a new automated API and backend service testing tool to improve the quality of mobile apps.

The new Runscope Radar service, launched at the AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, is designed to alleviate the concerns that come with changing backend APIs. It allows app maintainers to verify that their backend services are returning the data their apps expect with the intent of reducing the frequency of app crashes. But testing can be a fragile process that if it goes wrong can cause a poor experience for the customer. Runscope Radar is designed to help customers change their apps’ backend services without breaking it. The intent is to provide ways to improve the service without disrupting the customer experience.

With Radar, a developer starts with a list of requests and sets the parameters to determine if the API is working. The tests are based on real requests made from apps for high-fidelity recreations of real-world situations.

A customer receives notifications based upon the completion or failure of any test. The service integrates with services like CircleCi, GitHub, Heroku, Jenkins and TeamCity to run API tests on commits, builds or deploys.

For example, a developer consuming an API just wants to make sure that it is not affecting the end-user experience. If an API breaks it disrupts the communication.

“Broken services, broken apps,” said John Sheehan, CEO of Runscope, to me at the conference after his presentation. “Even internal services powering your apps need to be always available.”

APIs are now widely used by developers but reliability is still an issue, as there can be any number of issues with the numerous devices and platforms people use.

There are still few ways to manage API reliability. Companies go through a process of checking with API providers to determine if they can be counted on.

Runscope is a company that offers a service that will become more in demand as APIs become ever more common. The process to test APIs is for the most part a manual one that needs to be more automated. This is especially true as more startups emerge that are pure API services offered as mobile apps.

Samsung Galaxy J1 leaked a new mobile input range of Samsung

Samsung

The South Korean company Samsung has already started work in which they shall be his lower-middle for next year range smartphones 2015. First we met about a new Galaxy E range, which seems to contain midrange phones such as the recently leaked Samsung Galaxy E7, and this time the protagonist is another new smartphone simple: the Samsung Galaxy J1.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 is a mobile with very modest features, virtually input range, which has appeared leaked on the net revealing much of their technical specifications.

According filtration revealed by the US website SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy J1 will be presented with a screen of 4.3 inches to reach a resolution of WVGA type, ie a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The processor will be neither a Qualcomm nor MediaTek, but talking about a Marvell processor (model PXDA1908) quad core to reach a clock speed of 1.2 GHz besides being compatible with 64-bits-technology.

The RAM apparently integrate the Samsung Galaxy J1 will have a capacity of 1 GB. The internal storage space will be expandable via an external microSD card type, something to keep in mind knowing that the internal memory of this mobile is established in the 4 gigabytes. The Galaxy J1 will not be a smartphone focused on the multimedia aspect, and therefore the main camera shy comes with a five megapixel sensor, while the front camera host a two-megapixel sensor.

Samsung

The most curious features of the Samsung Galaxy J1 is that this terminal will come with 4G LTE connectivity, which means that will be compatible with mobile networks ultra-fast Internet that achieve a download speed of up to 150 Mbps. the operating system installed in series correspond to Android, but not in its latest version of Lollipop, but in the version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. All backed by a battery with 1850 mAh capacity.

To give us an idea of the possible design of the Samsung Galaxy J1 just let’s take a look at your measurements: 129 x 68 x 8.9 mm, which shows us that we are talking about a smartphone that has almost the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Core (129.3 x 67.6 x 8.95 mm) which was submitted to the middle of last year.

By the time the filing date of Samsung Galaxy J1 is unknown. What does seem clear is that during the next year 2015 will see a major change in the names of the most affordable smartphones Samsung: instead of be called Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Core or Galaxy Express, now these terminals will have denominations with a letter and a number, see for example the case of this new Galaxy J1. The reason? Apparently a drop in sales has forced the South Korean company to streamline its portfolio of phones.

Amazon announces new Kindle Voyage for 199 and new Kindle for 79

Amazon has announced two new models of its popular e-reader, an updated version of their standard Kindle, now with a touchscreen, and a brand new Kindle Voyage.
The Kindle Voyage is the seventh generation model in the Kindle series. The latest version features an updated Paperwhite display, which has a higher resolution and a pixel density of 300PPI. It is the highest resolution, highest contrast, and highest brightness display on any Kindle so far.

The new display has a flush glass covering on top that is scratch resistant. To prevent glare and reflections, the display is micro-etched to diffuse light. Amazon also claims the texture of the glass is designed to match the texture of paper.
Another cool feature is adaptive display brightness. It automatically adjusts the display brightness to the ambient light. While that isn’t particularly new, it also automatically reduces the brightness of the display over time as you read to reduce strain on the eyes from staring at a bright screen for too long.
Another new feature is PagePress. Along the side of the display are sensors that detect when you press the screen with a light press and turn the page. The Kindle responds with a light haptic feedback, which along with the press sensitivity, can be adjusted.
Amazon is giving away free 3G for users to download books instead of hunting for Wi-Fi, which works in over 100 countries. The 3G comes without any fees or contracts.
All of this is put inside the thinnest Kindle body yet, which is 7.6mm thick and made with a magnesium back. The Kindle Voyage also gets new Origami Cover, that works as a case and also folds to become a stand for reading.
Along with the Kindle Voyage, Amazon has also updated the cheapest standard Kindle model in their lineup. The new Kindle now has a touchscreen display, along with a 20% faster processor, and twice the storage.
The new Kindle Voyage is priced at $199, while the new Kindle will cost just $79. The older Kindle Paperwhite is still available for $119.

Asustek said to be adopting Qualcomm solution for new ZenFone

ASUS CEO Jerry Shen with Zenfone 1st Gen

Via Digitimes.com In addition to CPUs from Intel, Asustek Computer is said to be planning to develop second-generation ZenFone smartphones using Qualcomms solutions for 2015, according to sources from smartphone component makers, which added that Asustek is possibility looking to push Intel to cut prices on its third-generation platform.

Asustek declined to comment about the news, while Intel pointed out that it will continue to provide subsidies to partners to help them cut costs.

Asustek is planning to showcase second-generation ZenFone smartphones at CES 2015 in January 2015, but whether the company will also reveal the models using Qualcomm solutions is still unknown.

Asustek CEO Jerry Shen stated at a recently investor meeting that Asusteks ZenFone series will all adopt Intels platform prior to the end of March 2015. However, in the second quarter of 2015, Asustek will add models using non-Intel solutions for the NT$4,990 (US$163) pricing range. Intels platform will still account for 60% of Asusteks estimated 16 million smartphone shipments for 2015.

Some market watchers originally believed Asustek will use solutions from MediaTek for its second-generation ZenFone, but the sources pointed out that Asustek looks like it is approaching Qualcomm, a major competitor of Intel in the smartphone area for partnership. Qualcomm also has partnerships with Asustek over tablets, Padfone and ZenWatch.

Since Asustek is a major partner of Intel in the smartphone industry and Intels platform has not been reported as having any shortages or defects, the sources believes Qualcomms entry into Asusteks supply chain shows that Intel and Asustek negotiations include pricing issues.

Intels cooperation with Spreadtrum and Rockchip as well as adjustments over marketing subsidies and product pricing also concern Asustek.

However, some market watchers believe that if Intel refuses to respond to the challenge from Asustek, the smartphone maker may put itself in a difficult situation since the Qualcomm platform has almost no cost advantage and Asustek is unlikely to receive extensive support from Qualcomm, as it is not one a major Qualcomm partner.

New Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Review

New Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Review: Adobe Debut Components 13 gives helpful, yet not fundamental upgrades

New Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Review-Adobe assaults the most well-known appeals for feature altering with the most recent upgrade to its shopper feature manager, Premiere Elements 13. With an intriguing new approach to trimming, a few extra Guided Alters, upgrades to its Shake Stabilizer, and another Feature Story apparatus, Adobe adds some decent capacities to the product. Its value continues as before as the past rendition: $100/£78.15/Au$130 for the full form. Different update and pack costs are accessible also.

New Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Review

New Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Review

Premiere Elements fuses the same elive (Components Live) focus as Photoshop Components 13, a curated determination of Components how-tos, news along these lines on from around the Web. So (in principle) you dont need to scan the Web for help any longer to adjust for that actuality that discovering the data youre searching for in Adobes help framework has a tendency to be baffling.

Its likewise intended to captivate you and goad inventiveness when you boot up the product. It is really powerful at providing for you an outline of new peculiarities and strategies to attempt, however it truly needs an approach to stick or bookmark particular things so you can about-face when you really need to think about that gimmick.

Design

Most loved Minutes is another device for trimming feature, i.e., chopping the feature down to an arrangement of cuts that you need. Ordinarily with feature altering, you stamp taken care of focuses that portray the parts of the cut you need to dispose of. With Most loved Minutes, you flip on and off focused around the portions of the cuts you need to keep. At that point the product consequently strings them together with moves. You can then revamp the cuts, alter the moves, settle the taken care of focuses et cetera. Its not terrible for a speedy approach to sort out a few cuts.

An alternate new apparatus is Feature Story, layout based tasks that fall into regular classes - weddings, travel, birthdays, and so on - with diverse parts that you drop your substance into. Adobe Premiere 13 naturally investigates the cuts and includes illustrations and music. You can change the music track, state of mind, velocity and force of every part, erase parts or include your own. While everything feels a little treat cutter, and at times a bit mushy, its a great approach to arrange your contemplations (and cuts). Once its carried out, you can bring it into the full supervisor and transform it. Furthermore I trust theres a boundless supply of these formats, on the grounds that they get old quick.

There are additionally two new Guided Alters: Impacts Cover and Including Feature in a Title. While theyre both valuable and great thoughts, the usage feels kinda carriage and inadequate. Case in point, you cant again through the venture; you can over through the guidelines, yet it doesnt undiscovered anything. Nor does it appear conceivable to undiscovered without leaving the guided alter and after that fixing your route back. Furthermore youll have to go regressively, on the grounds that the Guided Alter accept you havent done anything before beginning it, in addition to it often appears nonresponsive or does something startling.

Features

Case in point, I did the Impacts Veil alter, then happened to the Title Guided Alter. In any case the last expect that the second feature track is unfilled. Whats more in the event that youve officially done it once, it doesnt consider that youve effectively made the vital possession (for this situation, a dark feature) and strengths you to reproduce it. Additionally, however it strolls you through making them, it doesnt generally let you know why it needs to be carried out that way. That said, after a bit of experimentation you evaluate whats going on, and those systems are really valuable instruments to have.

The last paramount redesign to the application is enhanced Shake Stabilizer. Long ago, it performed it totally consequently. Presently, you have the choice of brisk (programmed) or point by point (slower, however better quality) and more change choices in Master mode including how smooth it ought to be, moving screen diminishment, and what the tradeoff ought to be between smoothing it out and trimming the edges of the feature. It appears to make a really decent showing, albeit I didnt attempt to run any activity cam footage through it, simply fundamental no-IS handheld feature.

By and large, Adobe Debut Components 13 has some helpful improvements, all things considered just in case youre totally new to feature altering or to the project. It remains a robust passage level feature altering, yet aside from more control over the picture adjustment there isnt much here for clients of rendition 12 to miss.

The new cellphones iPhone 6 coming out could be an iPhone Air

IPhone Air? Concept Federico Ciccarese.

The output in recent market iPhone 5S and 5c raises the same questions for fans of Apple products: whats next? The Italian designer Federico Ciccarese, had an idea that he did not bother to put on the table by proposing to unify the entire product range Air, which now includes the iPad Air, the iPhone Air.

The iPhone 6 could be an iPhone Air?
new cell phones coming out : new iPhone 6

Ciccarese did not specify about the parts and materials that make up the iPhone Air, but we can assume it would be made with lighter materials and parts thinner.

It goes without saying that the iPhone Air has nothing official. This is a very elegant design. However, its design is one of the possible horizons for the future of iPhone. Obviously Apple will undoubtedly leave the iPhone 5S and 5C on the market a few months to continue to sell again.
One way or another, an iPhone makes a qualitative leap, like a iPhone Air is perhaps what Apple would need to confront Samsung Galaxy S5 and scheduled for early 2014.
For now, the release date of iPhone 6 has not yet been announced, but you can expect that something takes place this side in summer 2014.
